Unidrive SP Panel Mount Range

Unidrive SP Panel Mounting version is a standard AC input, AC output drive module for system integration and standalone applications. It is extremely flexible, with five modes of operation.

Unidrive SP Free Standing – Ready to use AC Drives

90kW – 675kW

400 Volts

Unidrive SP Free Standing Range

The Unidrive SP Free Standing drives range offers the same advanced feature set as the panel mount drives but in a pre-engineered convenient package, which can be connected to industry standard cabinets. The drives offer industry leading power/size ratios.

Unidrive SP Modular – Flexible Power

45kW – 1.9MW

200/400/500/690 Volts

Unidrive SP Modular

The Unidrive SP Modular drives range offers the same advanced feature set as our panel mount drives but with additional power system flexibility; the drives may be arranged to provide a common DC bus system with or without an active front end (regenerative, 4 quadrant operation). Very high current motors may be controlled using a multi-drive modular arrangement.

Affinity – Dedicated HVAC/R Drive for Building Automation

1.1kW – 132kW
200V / 400V / 575V / 690V
IP20 (NEMA 1) and IP54 (NEMA 12)

Affinity HVAC/R Drives

Affinity is Control Techniques’ dedicated HVAC/R drive, designed specifically to meet the needs of consultants, contractors and owners of commercial buildings. A comprehensive product line incorporates special drive functionality and accessories to simply and efficiently solve your HVAC/R applications.

Commander SX – NEMA 4X for washdown environments

The Commander SX is a NEMA 4X (IP66) protected drive that enables users to mount the drive directly next to the motor giving significant cabling, enclosure and installation savings.

Motor Controls: AC Inverters, Variable Frequency and Variable Speed AC Drives

Variable frequency drives are an excellent choice for adjustable-speed drive users because they allow you to fine-tune processes while reducing costs for energy and equipment maintenance. Control Techniques’ variable speed/frequency drives can help cut your energy consumption and in turn reduce your costs.

Our variable frequency drives (electronic controllers) adjust the speed of electric motors by modulating the power being delivered. Control Techniques variable frequency drives provide continuous control, matching motor speed to the specific demands of the work being performed.

Emerson Control Techniques offers a wide range of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and options to meet the diverse power and performance requirements of applications used in Water, Waste Water, Oil & Gas, Food Processing and other industries.

To highlight the special performance characteristics and features, ease of use and other benefits Control Techniques drives bring to applications, we have prepared a series of Industrial application flyers called Solutions. We also have made our green Energy Savings Solutions available for download.

Our AC drive solutions include: AC Drives, VSDs – Variable Speed drives, VFDs – Variable frequency drives and AC inverters. Control Techniques’ AC drives/AC inverters can convert direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). The converted (AC) electricity can be at any required voltage and frequency with the use of appropriate transformers, switching, and control circuits.

A variable-frequency drive controls the operating speed of an AC motor by controlling the frequency and voltage of the power supplied to the motor. An inverter provides the controlled power. In most cases, the variable-frequency drive includes a rectifier, so that DC power for the inverter can be provided from the main AC power. Since an inverter is the key component, variable-frequency drives are often called inverter drives, AC inverters or simply inverters.

Our AC Inverters convert the DC electricity from sources such as solar panels and fuel cells to AC electricity. The electricity can then be used to operate AC equipment designed for mains operation, or rectified to produce DC at any desired voltage.

Additionally, our grid tie inverters can feed energy back into the distribution network because they produce alternating current with the same wave shape and frequency as supplied by the distribution system. They can also switch off automatically in the event of a blackout.

Innovative and intelligent AC drive technology from Control Techniques enables customers to deploy highly productive, easy-to-use control solutions.

Beyond achieving superior motor performance, the design philosophy of Control Techniques is guided by the voice of our customers to produce truly “user friendly” control solutions. As a result, the drives are quick to install, simple to set up, and easy to maintain. Software tools are intuitive, consistent and flexible. Many advanced features are built in as standard.
